Welcome to the Gygi Culinary Institute.

If you've ever wanted to improve your cooking skills or learn how to prepare some wonderful new dishes, we encourage you to come join us. We offer a great variety of classes at many skill levels. While very informative, our classes are casual and enjoyable, so plan to come and have a great time. Click on the  ‘schedule’ icon for the schedule and class details. -General Information:
Our demonstration classes accommodate 30-48 students. The instructor explains and shows recipe preparation and cooking techniques. These classes typically last 1-2 hours.

Our hands-on classes are participatory and accommodate 12-15 students. Students take part in learning techniques and preparing the menu items.  These classes typically last 2-3 hours.

Students will receive recipes and a tasting of all dishes prepared in class. In some classes, a full meal is prepared and enjoyed by the class participants. See class descriptions for details.

Adult classes are open to students ages 14 and older unless otherwise noted.

A 10% discount coupon is given to each participant attending a class. This coupon is valid for regular priced merchandise purchased the day of the class. Some restrictions apply.

-Volunteers:
Class volunteers are a valuable part of our program. Volunteers assist the instructor with classroom setup and breakdown. This includes serving and clearing dishes for attendees, dishwashing and cleaning of the classroom and prep area. The average work shift is 5 hours.

Benefits include a complimentary cooking class after assisting in 2 classes, a 10% discount coupon redeemable the day of class (some restrictions apply) and a chance to learn culinary tricks and secrets from our great instructors!

-Terms and Conditions:
Pre-registration is required for all classes.  Full payment must accompany each registration. Space is limited. If a class is full, you can add your name to the waitlist.

Classes can be registered for in the store or by phone, 801-268-3316, using your credit card. We accept VISA, MasterCard, Discover or American Express.

All seating is available on a first-come, first- served basis. Please note the start time of your class. Times vary and classes begin promptly.

Our 48-hour cancellation policy will be strictly enforced. All monies and gift certificates will be forfeited for classes not cancelled 48 hours prior to the class.

We reserve the right to alter menus due to availability of ingredients.

We reserve the right to cancel classes as deemed necessary. Full refunds will be given for classes we cancel.

-Waitlist:
If an opening for a waitlisted class becomes available; you will be contacted by phone and e-mail. Please leave both day and night time phone numbers and email address. Your credit card information will be required at the time you accept an open spot in the class.
